How well does your page answer the question?
Give Retriever a page and a question. It compares passages from the page with that question, then shows the strongest match and concepts you may want to address.
The result can help you review the content. It doesn't predict whether a particular search engine will cite the page.
How the check works
Read the page. Retriever fetches the page content and divides it into passages for comparison.
Compare the passages. Its models score relevance to your question and examine the terms that contribute to the result.
Review the evidence. You receive the strongest passage, the supporting analysis and suggestions to consider in the context of the page.
What to look for
A useful answer. Does the selected passage actually help someone with the question?
Missing information. Is there a relevant point the page needs to explain more clearly?
A fair comparison. If you add a competitor page, both pages are tested against the same question. The comparison describes this relevance test, not their overall search performance.
Questions about the check
How does it assess the page?
Retriever divides the fetched content into overlapping passages. A cross-encoder model compares each passage with your question, while SPLADE provides term-level evidence. These are components of this tool's method, rather than a reproduction of any one search engine.
What does the score mean?
It describes how strongly the model rates the best passage as an answer to your question. Use it alongside the passage itself. It isn't a citation probability, a ranking prediction or a complete assessment of content quality.
Should I paste in the suggested sentence?
Read it first. Check that it is accurate, supported by your business and useful in the surrounding text. A suggestion may need editing, and some questions need more than one additional sentence.
